NS&I reports that there are still more than two million historic Premium Bonds prizes outstanding

After winning the top £1 million prize in NS&I's March draw, two holders of Premium Bonds will be ecstatic.

Liverpool is home to the first fortunate jackpot winner, who has bond number 496VT504601. The Norfolk second winner's winning bond number is 282NN327573.

The Norfolk champion purchased their winning bond in September 2016, while the Liverpool winner did so in April 2022.

Start your trial. Although not everyone took home the top prize in this month's Premium Bonds prize draw, over two million people won 25, with 78 winning 100,000 and another 156 winning 50,000.

In the meantime, 782 won 10,000, 1,563 won 5,000, and 313 won 25,000.

In March, prizes worth over 410 million Premium Bonds will be distributed.

From the first draw in June 1957 to March 2026, the total value of all Premium Bond prizes won has reached 40.3 billion.

Currently, there is a 22,000-to-1 chance of winning each month's prize draw for each bond held. When NS&I lowers the odds of winning in April, this will fall to 23,000 to one.

How to find out if you have won something.

On the first working day of every month, the winners of the Premium Bonds £1 million prize are revealed. Jackpot winners can anticipate a visit from Agent Million, an anonymous NS&I employee who travels the nation telling people they have won.

The day following the first working day of every month, holders of Premium Bonds can use the Premium Bonds prize checker app or the NS&I website to see if they have won additional prizes worth between £25,000 and £100,000. This month's draw is scheduled for Tuesday, March 3.

To access your account, make sure you have your Bond or NS&I number on hand.

It's worth checking now if you have Premium Bonds but haven't checked to see if you've won anything in a long time.

Since draws started in 1957, NS&I reports that over 99 percent of prizes have been paid to winners; however, millions of Premium Bonds prizes remain unclaimed.

There are currently 2,733,973 prizes worth more than 116 million that have not been claimed, according to the government-backed savings provider.
