According to NS&I, more than 26 million historic Premium Bonds prizes remain unclaimed
After NS&I revealed the winners of its January 2026 prize draw, two holders of Premium Bonds began the new year one million dollars richer.
While 77 won £100,000, the fortunate jackpot winners each received a £1 million prize. More than 300 people each received 25,000, while more than 150 collected 50,000.
Berkshire and Suffolk are home to the winners of the £1 million prize.
570QM451332 was the winning number of the Suffolk Premium Bonds holder. In February 2024, they purchased the winning bond, and they currently own 50,000.
The Berkshire winner, who has had 50,000 since December 2019, won the £1 million jackpot with the number 377PG290829.
A Premium Bond purchased in October 2025 secured the winnings for one of the Premium Bond owners who won £100,000, but their total holdings are only 4,400.

How many individuals won the Premium Bonds prize draw in January 2026?
Premium Bond holders will receive over 406 million through more than six million prizes in the January 2026 draw.
Prizes totaling nearly 40 billion have been awarded since the initial drawing in June 1957.

How to find out if you deserve a prize.
On the first working day of every month, the winners of the Premium Bonds £1 million prize draw are revealed. You will be notified that you have won the grand prize.
Bond holders can use the Premium Bonds prize checker app or visit the NS&I website the day following the first working day of each month to see if they have won anything between £25,000 and £100,000. This is Saturday, January 3rd, for this month's draw.
To access your account, make sure you have your Bond or NS&I number with you.
It's worth checking now if you own Premium Bonds but haven't checked to see if you've won anything in a long time.
Since draws started in 1957, more than 99 percent of prizes have been awarded to winners, according to NS&I, but millions of Premium Bond prizes remain unclaimed.
According to the government-backed savings company, 2,695,399 prizes totaling over 112 million have not yet been claimed.
