NS&I reports that over 26 million historic Premium Bonds prizes are still unclaimed
Following the announcement of the November 2025 prize draw winners by NS&I, millions of holders of Premium Bonds are now in a better position.
While 76 people have won £100,000, two fortunate winners have won the top £1 million prize.
A total of 305 people have won 25,000, and over 150 have a 50,000 prize to collect. Over six million Premium Bonds were awarded in November.
The first winner of £1 million came from Shropshire, and they purchased their winning bond in October 2015. The bond number is 258GE105589, and the maximum amount of premium bonds they own is 50,000.
York's second winner has 50,000 Premium Bonds as well. In February 2024, the winning bond, 568FY679677, was purchased.
Premium Bonds went on sale for the first time in November 1956, and the first prize draw was held in June 1957. This month is their 69th anniversary. Prizes totaling more than 38 billion have been awarded since then.

There were 6,076,948 prizes in the November Premium Bonds draw, with a total prize pot of 401,078,550.
For this month's draw, 133,692,841 1 Bonds were available.
Unlike other savings accounts, premium bonds do not pay a fixed amount of interest. Rather, each month you have a one in 22,000 chance to win one of the prizes for every £1 you save.
Winnings from Premium Bonds are also tax-free.

How to find out if you have a prize due.
On the first working day of every month, the winners of the Premium Bonds price draw are declared.
The day following the first working day of every month, bond holders can use the Premium Bonds prize checker app or the NS&I website to see if they have won anything. It is November 4th for this month's draw.
In order to access your account, make sure you have your Bond or NS&I number on hand.
It's worth checking now if you own Premium Bonds but haven't checked to see if you've won anything in a long time.
According to NS&I, there are presently 2,665,351 unclaimed Premium Bond prizes totaling 110,129,225.
