According to NS&I, more than 27 million historic Premium Bonds prizes remain unclaimed
Even though Valentine's Day is still a few weeks away, two Premium Bond holders are already feeling the love after each of them won a £1 million jackpot.
Agent Million from NS&I will have contacted the fortunate bond holders from Liverpool and central Bedfordshire to inform them that they have won this month's top prize.
The bond number 489TB013219 was used by the first jackpot winner, who was from central Bedfordshire. They own £50,000 worth of Premium Bonds and bought the winning bond in February 2022. They are the second Central Bedfordshire jackpot winner.
040QJ919368 is the number for the second Premium Bonds 1 million jackpot bond. It is being held by a Liverpool resident.
Additionally, they bought their winning bond in October 2004 and currently own 50,000 in premium bonds. They are Liverpool's fourth winner of the £1 million jackpot.

How many people were the winners of the Premium Bonds prize draw in February 2026?
More than 6.1 million tax-free Premium Bonds worth over 408 million were up for grabs in February 2026.
After the initial draw in 1957, holders of Premium Bonds have now won 40 billion.
The prizes for Premium Bonds range from £25 to £1 million.
This month, about 78 individuals each won £100,000, 154 received £50,000, 311 will receive £25,000, and 777 are owed £10,000.
How to find out if you deserve a prize.
On the first working day of each month, the winners of the Premium Bonds £1 million prize draw are revealed. If you are the winner, you will be notified.
Bond holders can use the Premium Bonds prize checker app or go to the NS&I website the day after the first working day of each month to see if they have won anything from £25 to £100,000. The date of this month's draw is Tuesday, February 3.
The NS&I website requires the bond holder's Premium Bonds holders number in order to check for prizes. Users of the Premium Bonds app can utilize either their NS&I number or their holder number.
There are currently 2,713,707 unclaimed prizes worth 114,769,950 that are awaiting claim, so it is worthwhile to check.
Approximately 10,400 prizes worth 433,225 that date back to February 1968 are still unclaimed in central Bedfordshire. A Bond holder with a holding of 100 won the largest unclaimed prize in central Bedfordshire, valued at 10,000, in the January 2024 draw.
The greatest unclaimed prize in the region is a 5,000 prize from May 2023 that has not yet been claimed in Liverpool.
Additionally, there are thirteen 1,000 prizes that have not been claimed since November 1987.
Although it's thrilling to think that you might win a large cash prize every month, the prize rate has decreased recently, and your money might be better off elsewhere.
