Winners of Premium Bonds: In the June prize draw, who took home the £1 million jackpot?
NS&I has declared the June Premium Bonds prize draw winners

Who took home the 1 million prize, and how can you know if you won this month?

Millions have won smaller prizes from the June Premium Bonds prize draw, and two lucky savers have become overnight millionaires.

Edinburgh and Stockport in Greater Manchester are the new Premium Bonds millionaires for this month.

Bond 103FE583469 and a total of £50,000 in Premium Bonds are held by the Stockport winner. Only the second jackpot-winning bond ever given out in Stockport, the bond was purchased in November 2005.

Bond number 352AC359547 is held by the Edinburgh winner, who also had 50,000 in Premium Bonds prior to winning the jackpot. February 2019 was a relatively recent purchase date for this winner's millionaire bond.

The two jackpot bonds were selected by ERNIE, NS&I's advanced prize-drawing computer, along with over 5 and a half million other bonds.

One Sheffield resident, who won £100,000 in this month's draw from a bond they bought in September 2021 and a holding of only 10,000, is another noteworthy winner. In a similar vein, a Hertfordshire winner received the same sum from a bond they bought in February 2024 and only 11,000 in holdings.

In the meantime, another Oxfordshire winner took home £50,000 from a mere 500 shares purchased in May 2009. An Essex winner also had a fortunate day, taking home £50,000 from a bond that was purchased in July of last year with just 1,150 in total holdings.

According to recent data, Essex has the highest chance of winning a Premium Bonds prize.

An unidentified NS&I employee named Agent Million will have visited the jackpot winners to inform them of their newfound wealth.

New millionaires haven't just been created by the prize draw. The total value of June's prize fund was over 416 million, which was split among over 50.9 million prizes ranging from 25 to 1,000,000.

The odds of winning were 22,000 to 1 for every bond, and the prize fund rate, which is the average rate of returns for a person with average luck, was 3point 8 percent for June's draw.
