According to official data, there are now 5,070 ISA millionaires, a record high.
The number of ISA millionaires tracked by HMRC increased by nearly 5% during the 2022 - 2023 tax year from the 4,850 millionaires recorded on April 5, 2022, according to a Freedom of Information (FOI) request made by the financial app Plum.
In just seven years, the number of armchair investors with seven-figure ISA pots has grown by more than 1,000%.
The top 25 ISA investors are sitting on pots averaging an incredible 11,305,000, up by 2.425 million (27 percent) in just a single year, according to HMRC data.
As of April 5, 2023, the average ISA millionaire had 1,346,000.

According to Lakhani, ISAs are "particularly attractive to younger investors, who don't want to lock their money away until their late 50s, which is the case with pensions" because of their flexibility.

How to make millions in an ISA.
Instead of using a cash ISA to save their money, ISA millionaires typically invest their money in stocks and shares.
In order to get higher returns, they probably start early, invest regularly, and take some risk.
